Urgent Order and Delivery Solution
A customer is rushing for his order. The order lead time takes about 15 days, but the customer needed it within 10 days. We suggest that we can partially deliver the parts to them and ship the remaining quantity when finished. After communicating with Susan and their customer, the customer agrees to receive partial delivery for the urgent use of the parts.

Different Production Process to Reduce Machining Cost
The part originally produced by CNC Turned and then CNC Milled afterward. We suggest the customer to consider casting and then CNC turning to save up the cost of CNC milling. They checked if casting meets their strength requirement and confirmed with us. This change saves about 25% of the original cost.

New Parts Development
We Chan helps you to develop your new parts/products. In this case, we gave some suggestions for a smoother assembly process, and also suggest a material change for a stronger structure for the final product. When the design is confirmed, we provided samples for the customer to test. We Cahn Precision would be happy to changes as long as it supports the improvements of the final part.

Machined parts sometimes require different finishes before it can be used or installed. There are various coating and treatment provide decorative or functional purposes.
WHAT IS COATING
Coating is to apply a thin covering on the surface of a part. This provides the part to have better rust-resistance, hardness, adding colors or other specific functions. Different material s may require different coating based on its properties and purposes. Here are couple common coatings in the CNC industry:

Some coatings may add thickness to the object. High precision parts after the coating layer may exceed its tolerance. In this case, the machining dimensions need to be adjusted before coating.
HEAT TREATMENT
Heat treatment is to keep an object at a certain degree of temperature for a while then decrease temperature to acquire a better structure of the object. Generally, there are four steps which are: Annealing, Quenching, Tempering and Normalizing.
The purpose of heat treatment is to obtain different hardness, strength, toughness, ductility, or elasticity. Not all materials can be heat treated. Only steel and 400 series of stainless steel can be heat treated.
Heat treatment sometimes may result deformation. This depends on the size and features of object. If tight tolerances are required, secondard process will be required to achieve the dimension after heat treatment.
